Winning Essays

The annual Vera Anstey South Asia Essay Competition is very popular amongst postgraduate students at LSE, and the Centre receives brilliant submissions.

The best essay is published on '', the Centre's flagship academic blog which has been ranked in the top 10 (out of 40+) academic blogs at LSE since 2021, with nearly half a million readers every year.

The winner also receives Waterstones Book Vouchers worth £250.
